Course Description: The development of government functions, power and procedures which form the basis of administrative law; "due process" in criminal justice and civil justice; and the role of the legal assistant in the grievance procedure and hearings. The student will research administrative law decisions, discuss the role of government agencies in the social welfare system, describe the development and role of hearing officers and administrative law judges, and describe judicial review as the court of last resort. |
