Course Description: An introduction to the subject of accounting information systems, including their design, control, and use. Attention is given to control procedures and methods for manual and computerized systems by major transaction cycles. |
Special Requirements: Students must have ready access to a computer and network connection. |
Online Component: The course makes extensive use of Group Discussion boards in Blackboard.
Each class is divided into a 10 person group; and each student participates in a variety of ways:
1. Submitting critical evaluations of some 30 articles in the course, and commenting on the evaluations of others in the group
2. Contributing to 2 four-week Electronic Essay assignments, that involve individual and group components.
Grading is based on the quality and quantity of the above submissions. |
Pre-requisites: ACC 2101, CIS 1357 (or CIS 2200), STA 2000. |
