Course Description: This course serves as an introduction to physics, especially for students who are not science-oriented. A selected number of basic physical ideas are carefully examined. The relevance of the scientist and his/her work to the lives of non-scientists is continually examined. |

Online Component: Online materials use Virtual Laboratories to help students develop conceptual understanding of fundamental physics. Java-based computer simulations are integrated into weekly activities that allow students to do online investigations and to learn methods of scientific reasoning and inquiry. |
