Course Description:
A study of the factors determining national output, income, employment, and prices; the impact of government spending, taxation, and monetary policy; the banking system; economic growth; international trade.
Special Requirements:
Students must know how to draw/plot graphs in either Word, WordPerfect or Excel, or be able to scan hand-drawn graphs into a Word or WordPerfect document. Since written assignments will sometimes include a graphing component, this ability, or willingness to learn, is essential. Instructions and support will be provided. Online Component:
This course will be taught entirely online. All of the course material will be presented online and you will be able to access this material at any time through an Internet connection and the course program, Blackboard. As part of the course requirements, you will be expected to read all of the class notes, view PowerPoint presentations, listen to audio files, visit Web sites, and participate in weekly discussions. In addition, all written assignments and tests must be submitted via the Internet.
Pre-requisites:
BE-122 (or BE-226), or satisfactory score on the CUNY/ACT Assessment Test.
