Course Description:
HIS 59 is a basic introductory survey course covering
American History since 1920. Topics include the aftermath of WWI,
the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, WWII, the Cold War,
Vietnam, and recent developments in the Middle East, among others. |
Special Requirements:
Basic familiarity with MS Windows and the internet. |
Online Component:
Students perform online assignments that include work
with primary source images and documents and some basic internet
navigation. The online work allows students an alternative to
purchasing some textbooks and performing some in-class requirements. |
