Course Description:
The major authors and literary movements of the late
19th and 20th centuries are studied. Works of Quiroga, Reyes, Neruda,
Vallejo, Carpentier, Borges, Rulfo, Fuentes, Marques, and others are
analyzed. Written and oral reports are required.
Special Requirements:
Basic knowledge of word processing software, e-mail,
access to the Internet.
Online Component:
Part of the material for the course will be provided
online, and there will be online discussions, exams, homework,
research, and group project assignments.
Pre-requisites:
SPN 210 or departmental permission.
