Course Description:
The application of anthropological knowledge and
techniques in the introduction of Western medical, agricultural and
educational technology to non-Western societies; problems and ethics
of directed socio-cultural change will be analyzed and principles of
directional change will be developed.
Special Requirements:
-An internet connection
-A web browser (Netscape 4.01 or higher or Internet Explorer 4.0 or
higher). Please note that Blackboard does not work with AOL's web
browser. If you are using AOL to connect to the internet you will
need to minimize AOL and open either Netscape or Internet Explorer
separately
-Microsoft Word or Excel
-A valid email account with which you can exchange messages
Online Component:
The course is taught completely on-line. Students must
use blackboard to submit reports, respond to questions, and
participate in chat.
