Course Description:
American literature II is a survey from Dickinson, Whitman, Douglass, Chopin and Twain to Updike, Morrison, Plath, Lowell, Rivera and Wilson. Documentaries and films are woven in to evoke a cultural context.
Special Requirements:
An internet connection, Microsoft Word, and an email account are required. Online research skills, a plus.
Online Component:
This course is fully online. Students read and view primary and secondary materials, participate in Discussion Board exchanges and submit quizzes, papers and exams on line.
Pre-requisites:
English 101 and 201 for Manhattan Community College Students. If non-matriculated, permission of the instructor.
